“you have to fight every day to stop censoring yourself. and you never have anyone else to blame when you do. what happens to artists is that it’s not that somebody’s standing in their way, it’s that their own selves are standing in their way. the compromise really isn’t how or what you do, the techniques you use, or even the content, but really the compromise is beginning to feel a lack of...

Origami That's On the Money
If there is such a thing as a money master it’s probably Won Park. As an origami artist, he transforms dollar bills into magical works of art. His life-like animals and objects are amazingly detailed. If you don’t believe me, check out some of those eyes! It’s just another great example of taking something ordinary and making it extraordinary!

What’s the best way to diffuse your anger? If have no more walls left to punch, pick up one of these notepads from Knock Knock, instead. Not only will these give you a chance to vent, you’ll probably end up rolling on the floor, laughing so hard you almost pee your pants. My favorite? Bitch Citation. snakes on a bus
How much would it suck if someone was afraid of snakes and had to take this bus? Copenhagen-based ad agency Bates Y&R created this hyper-realistic version of “Snakes on a Bus.” A huge constrictor snake is seen crushing the metal frame of a bus, giving the illusion that all of its passengers are in grave danger. Props to Bates Y&R for great execution, and perfect use of the...

Paper Sculptures
Dutch artist Paula Arntzen is an incredibly skilled paper artist. Only after countless hours of studying and observing the special characteristics of paper was she able to create these contemporary light sculptures. All of these were entirely handcrafted before being screen-printed with fluorescent ink. The results are stunning!

Andrew Schoultz
I’m really diggin’ this large scale painting by Andrew Schoultz. Measuring 11′ x 24′, “Monument Yard” took about one and a half years to finish, and is a monument to turbulent times. It was originally on view at the Torrance Art Museum, and will now make it’s way to Milan, where it will be shown at the Jerome Zodo Contemporary on March 11th.

Massive Bouncy Ball Installation
This massive bouncy ball installation has to be one of the coolest exhibits ever! Designed by Australian Nike Savvas, “Full of Love and Full of Wonder” represents the very atoms that are the fundamental structural units of all things. The mesmerizing piece produces an extraordinary optical effect as brightly-colored miniature balls swing within the gallery space. When looked at from...
